That was then...this is now.

It really is true...your sisters are your best friends. I can't imagine my life without these two. Sisters do fight and bicker but blood is thicker than water...forgive and forget. I remember when I was little my younger sister (in the middle) and I could not be put in the same room. We fight constantly and I don't even recall why but now, we text each other almost every day! Funny how things play out. My younger sister's graduation party just brought back memories. I can't believe she is about to embark on this new journey as a college student. My older sister (left side) looks like she is ready for a new chapter in her life also. She'll be done with college and I have an inkling she will want to start a family? (hopefully far far FAR in the future). I'm so blessed to have two amazing sisters, both beautiful inside and out.
Look at "little one" getting her sorority pose in check. (Bleeding the Crimson & Cream...Boomer Sooner!)

Forever Loved

"life is eternal, and love is immortal, and death is only the horizon, and the horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight." Praying that my aunt & cousins will overcome the loss and pain they now feel. I know my uncle is in a better place now. Please help his family get through this.

passion for baking

strawberry cheesecake cookie cups

Don't you just love google? It helped me find this recipe...inside-out chocolate strawberries.

the Asian version of fried ice-cream.

I love trying to make different kind of desserts...by the end of this year I'm going to learn to make that Asian version of fried ice-cream. I wish I can cook as well as I can bake, but I guess we can't be good at everything right? Baking helps take my mind off of things, which I really need this week.

my dad

I wanted to post the most recent picture of my dad & I in honor of father's day. My dad is precious too me and I'm so thankful to have him in my life. He's one of those dads that doesn't show his emotions through hugs or words but through his actions...like waking up early on snowy days to scrape the ice off of my windshield or filling up my gas tank when it's low. All I want is for him to be healthy like he is right now so he can walk me down the aisle on my wedding day (in the far future lol) and to hold his grandkids. He just had his 67th birthday earlier this June believe or not and I hope he has many more to go like my grandfather (his dad) who is 94yrs old! He acts like a kid sometimes and I'm glad I have the easy-going trait from him. Love you dad.

forever reign

I've never realized how wonderful an answer prayer can be until today. I'm so thankful to have my God in my life. I don't know what I would have done without Him. I know that my God will always be there for me and I can't rejoice enough. Today was a reminder of how wonderful He is and that He will never let me be in the dark. Even though He doesn't answer our prayers like we had hope to, He does answer it and give us an opening. I just want to share this today. God bless.
